Job Overview
American International School of Abuja seeks a passionate Teacher with 3–5 years of classroom experience to deliver quality education in Abuja. The teacher will plan and implement lessons, foster a supportive learning environment, and ensure student achievement aligns with school standards.
This role emphasizes student engagement, creative teaching methods, and integration of modern educational technology to enhance learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the curriculum.
Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and classroom participation.
Provide academic support and guidance for individualized student learning.
Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
Integrate digital learning tools and technology into lessons.
Participate in school activities, workshops, and parent-teacher meetings.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and academic projects.
Support extracurricular programs such as clubs, sports, and arts.
Monitor student progress and prepare academic reports.
Promote holistic education by encouraging critical thinking and creativity.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant subject area
3–5 years teaching experience in primary or secondary schools
Knowledge of modern teaching methods, student assessment, and classroom management
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to innovative learning approaches and technology integration
Salary & Benefits
Annual Salary: Approximately NGN 1,800,000 – NGN 2,700,000 per year
