Job Overview

The Multimedia Content Producer will play a pivotal role in creating engaging video, audio, and digital content for BBC Media Nigeria’s platforms. This role requires a creative professional who can conceptualize, produce, and edit content that aligns with the company’s brand and audience expectations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling stories that resonate with Nigerian and international audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, produce, and edit video and audio content for digital platforms, including social media, websites, and broadcast.
• Collaborate with journalists, editors, and designers to develop multimedia stories and campaigns.
• Conduct research to identify trending topics and audience interests relevant to Nigerian and global audiences.
• Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audition) for content creation and post-production.
• Ensure content adheres to BBC Media Nigeria’s editorial standards and brand guidelines.
• Monitor analytics to evaluate content performance and optimize future productions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in video and audio editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
• Strong storytelling and creative writing skills.
• Experience in producing content for digital platforms and social media.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for digital content optimization.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in multimedia production are a plus.

Experience

2-4 years of experience in multimedia content production, preferably in a professional media or digital marketing environment. Candidates with a portfolio showcasing their work will be prioritized.

Salary

250,000 – 400,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and performance.
