Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute aquaculture projects that promote sustainable fish farming practices.
  • Collaborate with local farmers, government agencies, and NGOs to identify project needs and opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate project impact on food production, biodiversity, and community livelihoods.
  • Develop training programs for farmers on sustainable aquaculture techniques and water resource management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in project management within agriculture or aquaculture sectors.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable farming practices and environmental conservation principles.

  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting for project evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian agricultural policies and climate resilience strategies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Aquaculture, Agricultural Economics, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in agricultural development or sustainability projects.
  • Previous project management experience in aquaculture or fisheries is a plus.

Salary

350,000 – 450,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
