Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and executing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aligned with The Body Shop’s global sustainability framework. The ideal candidate will lead community engagement programs, monitor environmental impact, and ensure compliance with international CSR standards. This position is based in Gombe, Nigeria, and will collaborate with regional stakeholders to advance equitable growth and ecological preservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement CSR strategies that align with The Body Shop’s sustainability mission.
- Coordinate partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and local communities for impactful projects.
- Monitor and report on CSR program outcomes using data-driven metrics.
- Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing and fair trade practices across supply chains.
- Represent the company at sustainability forums and industry events.
Required Skills
- Expertise in CSR program design and evaluation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of international sustainability frameworks (e.g., UN SDGs).
- Proficiency in project management tools and reporting software.
- Bilingual communication (English and Hausa preferred).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree in Sustainable Development or Public Policy is advantageous.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in CSR, sustainability, or corporate ethics roles, preferably within multinational organizations. Demonstrated success in managing cross-sector partnerships is required.
Salary
250,000 – 400,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
