Job Overview

This role is pivotal in maintaining Nestlé’s reputation for excellence in food safety. The Food Safety Auditor will conduct regular inspections of production sites, supplier facilities, and distribution centers to ensure adherence to HACCP, ISO 22000, and other regulatory frameworks. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of food production processes, storage conditions, and hygiene practices.
  • Evaluate compliance with national and international food safety regulations.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies to prevent contamination.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety protocols and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in food safety auditing or quality assurance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, BRCGS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using audit software and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification or certification in Food Safety Management is an added advantage.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in food safety auditing, preferably within the food manufacturing or supply chain sector. Experience in a multinational corporation is preferred.

Salary

150,000 – 250,000 SSP per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
