Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Systems Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support forest management and conservation efforts in Nigeria. The role will involve working closely with our research team, government agencies, and other stakeholders to design and implement effective digital forestry systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop digital forestry systems to support forest management and conservation efforts
- Collaborate with research team to develop and implement effective digital solutions
- Work with government agencies and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of digital forestry systems
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving digital forestry systems
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Forestry or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in digital forestry systems development and implementation
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
