We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Metallurgical Engineer to lead our mineral processing operations. The Senior Metallurgical Engineer will work closely with the geological and chemical engineering teams to ensure that production targets are met with maximum efficiency and minimal waste. This role involves significant technical oversight, from laboratory-scale testing to full-scale plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the optimization of mineral processing circuits to increase recovery rates and concentrate grades.
- Develop and implement metallurgical test work programs to evaluate new ore bodies.
- Oversee the commissioning and troubleshooting of new processing equipment and technologies.
- Monitor plant performance metrics and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Manage the metallurgical accounting process to ensure accurate reporting of material flows.
- Collaborate with the environmental team to optimize water and reagent usage in the processing plant.
