Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Commercial Litigation Counsel to join our elite dispute resolution team in Abuja. This role is designed for a legal expert who possesses a deep understanding of Nigerian commercial law and has a proven track record of handling complex litigation and arbitration matters. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex commercial litigation and arbitration cases from inception to resolution.
• Develop comprehensive legal strategies for high-stakes disputes involving corporate, banking, and energy sectors.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal opinions with extreme precision.
• Represent clients in various judicial and quasi-judicial bodies across the country.
• Conduct extensive legal research and provide actionable insights on emerging legal trends.
• Advise clients on risk management and dispute avoidance strategies.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates and legal interns within the dispute resolution department.

Education

Experience

A minimum of 7 to 10 years of post-call experience in commercial litigation is required. Proven experience in handling complex disputes in the energy, telecommunications, or financial services sectors is highly preferred.
