Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end design of IoT solutions, including device provisioning, connectivity, data ingestion, and analytics.
- Collaborate with clients to translate business objectives into technical specifications and architecture diagrams.
- Integrate Azure IoT Hub, Azure Digital Twins, and Azure Stream Analytics with third‑party hardware and platforms.
- Develop proof‑of‑concept prototypes and conduct performance testing to validate solution feasibility.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Assist sales teams in crafting compelling proposals, cost estimates, and ROI analyses for IoT projects.
- Stay current with emerging IoT trends, standards, and regulatory requirements in Nigeria and the African market.
- Participate in industry events, webinars, and community forums to promote Microsoft’s IoT portfolio.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in Azure IoT services, including IoT Central, IoT Edge, and Azure Sphere.
- Strong programming skills in C#, Python, or Java for device and cloud development.
- Experience with networking protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, CoAP, and LoRaWAN.
- Proficiency in designing microservices architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of security frameworks, encryption, and identity management for IoT devices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in cross‑functional, multicultural teams and deliver results in fast‑paced environments.
Education
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing and deploying IoT solutions at scale, preferably within enterprise or industrial settings. Prior exposure to the African market, especially Nigeria Jobs, is an advantage.
Salary
