Job Overview

The Marine Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in coordinating vessel schedules, cargo handling, and documentation for imports and exports through Lagos ports. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will liaise with shipping lines, port authorities, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost‑effective movement of goods. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel arrivals and departures, ensuring optimal berth allocation and adherence to schedules.
• Prepare and verify all shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and cargo manifests.
• Monitor cargo loading and unloading operations, addressing any discrepancies or delays promptly.
• Maintain real‑time shipment tracking systems and provide status updates to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with port authorities, customs officials, and freight forwarders to resolve operational issues.
• Analyze freight costs and recommend cost‑saving measures without compromising service quality.
• Support the development and implementation of digital logistics platforms to improve data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, local customs laws, and company policies.
• Prepare regular performance reports on key logistics metrics for senior management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of maritime shipping procedures, port operations, and customs regulations.

Education

Salary
