Job Overview

The Marine Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in coordinating vessel schedules, cargo handling, and documentation for imports and exports through Lagos ports. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vessel arrivals and departures, ensuring optimal berth allocation and adherence to schedules.
  • Prepare and verify all shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and cargo manifests.
  • Monitor cargo loading and unloading operations, addressing any discrepancies or delays promptly.
  • Maintain real‑time shipment tracking systems and provide status updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with port authorities, customs officials, and freight forwarders to resolve operational issues.
  • Analyze freight costs and recommend cost‑saving measures without compromising service quality.
  • Support the development and implementation of digital logistics platforms to improve data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, local customs laws, and company policies.
  • Prepare regular performance reports on key logistics metrics for senior management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maritime shipping procedures, port operations, and customs regulations.
