Job Overview

The Logistics Coordinator will manage the end‑to‑end flow of equipment, materials, and services required for Chevron’s oil and gas projects in the Damaturu area. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will coordinate transportation, warehousing, and inventory control, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of equipment, spare parts, and consumables to project sites.
  • Coordinate with vendors, transport providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems and conduct regular stock reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, import/export regulations, and Chevron’s safety policies.
  • Prepare and analyze logistics performance reports, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Manage documentation for shipments, including permits, certificates of origin, and hazardous material declarations.
  • Support emergency response logistics, ensuring rapid mobilization of resources when required.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with vendors and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian customs regulations and oil & gas supply chain practices.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) are advantageous.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably within the oil & gas or heavy‑industry sector. Experience with international freight forwarding, customs clearance, and inventory management is essential.

Salary
