Job Overview
The Risk Management Analyst will join Zenith Bank’s central Risk Management Department, reporting to the Head of Credit Risk. The analyst will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and reporting credit and market risks associated with the bank’s loan portfolio, investment activities, and emerging financial products. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze credit risk exposures across retail, SME, and corporate loan portfolios using quantitative techniques.
- Develop and maintain risk rating models, ensuring they reflect current market conditions and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate potential impacts on the bank’s capital adequacy.
- Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and present findings to senior management and the Board’s Risk Committee.
- Monitor compliance with internal risk policies and external regulatory guidelines, recommending enhancements as needed.
- Collaborate with the Treasury team to assess market risk factors, including interest rate and foreign exchange fluctuations.
- Support the implementation of the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and contribute to risk awareness training programs.
- Utilize advanced analytics tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python) to improve risk measurement accuracy and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in statistical modeling.
- Excellent knowledge of banking regulations, Basel III, and Nigerian financial supervisory guidelines.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with risk management software such as Moody’s Analytics or SAS.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex risk concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience

Salary
