Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Auditor will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all Nestlé Nigeria products manufactured in the Kano facility meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, the auditor will conduct systematic audits, risk assessments, and corrective action follow‑ups across production lines, supplier sites, and distribution channels. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document internal and external quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, HACCP, and Nestlé Global Food Safety standards.
• Identify non‑conformities, assess root causes, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier audits, and ensure raw material compliance with Nestlé specifications.
• Maintain audit schedules, reports, and records, ensuring traceability and accessibility for regulatory inspections.
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality procedures, GMP, and hygiene practices.
• Analyze audit data to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in internal investigations of product complaints and coordinate with the Food Safety team to implement corrective measures.
• Support the preparation for external certifications and regulatory audits, ensuring readiness at all times.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, ISO standards, and HACCP principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Effective communication skills for reporting findings and influencing stakeholders.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple audit projects simultaneously.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or HACCP certification are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety auditing, or related roles within the food and beverage manufacturing sector. Experience with multinational corporations and exposure to global quality standards will be valued.

Salary
