Job Overview
National Hospital Abuja is inviting applications from Registered Nurses to join its multidisciplinary healthcare team in Abuja. The nurse will provide comprehensive patient care, support physicians during treatments, and maintain clinical standards across hospital units.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate clinical expertise, excellent patient communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. Nurses will collaborate closely with doctors, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor patient health including vital signs, symptoms, and treatment progress.
Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies.
Assist in diagnostic tests, surgeries, and medical procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Implement and uphold infection control and patient safety protocols.
Provide patient and family health education and counseling.
Participate in emergency care, trauma management, and critical care.
Collaborate with other staff for care planning and interdisciplinary coordination.
Supervise junior nursing staff and support clinical mentoring programs.
Uphold professional ethics and confidentiality in nursing practice.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
3–5 years clinical experience in hospital settings
Proficiency in patient care, clinical procedures, and documentation
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Flexibility for rotating shifts, nights, and weekends
Salary & Benefits
Annual Salary: Approximately NGN 2,400,000 – NGN 3,600,000 per year
