Job Overview
This role is critical for ensuring IBM Nigeria adheres to international and local data privacy regulations while supporting clients in achieving compliance. The position requires expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessment, and policy development to safeguard sensitive information in alignment with Nigeria’s Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and global standards like GDPR.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with data protection laws and IBM internal policies.
- Develop and implement data privacy strategies for enterprise clients and internal operations.
- Provide training on data protection best practices to employees and stakeholders.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with legal teams to address data breach incidents and regulatory inquiries.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data privacy compliance (NDPR, GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools (e.g., SIEM, encryption software).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Law (with IT specialization), or related field. Postgraduate qualifications in Data Protection (e.g., CIPP/E) are advantageous.
Experience
3-5 years in data privacy, cybersecurity, or compliance roles, preferably in multinational corporations or regulated industries.
Salary
800,000 – 1,200,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
