Job Overview:As an Environmental Conservation Specialist with The Nature Conservancy, you will play a critical role in our efforts to protect and preserve the natural world. You will work closely with our team of conservation experts to develop and implement effective conservation strategies, engage with local communities, and collaborate with government agencies and other stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to our mission to protect the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement conservation plans and strategies to protect and preserve natural habitats
  • Engage with local communities to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote community-led conservation initiatives
  • Collaborate with government agencies and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective conservation policies
  • Conduct field research and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of conservation efforts
  • Develop and manage budgets and project plans to ensure effective use of resources

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of environmental conservation principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Education:The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an added advantage.

Experience:The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation or a related field. Experience working with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders is highly desirable.

Salary:The salary for this position is 800,000 – 1,200,000 SSP per annum.
