Job Overview

The Aerospace Systems Integration Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, integrating, and validating complex aerospace systems for commercial and defense platforms. Reporting to the Lead Systems Engineer, the incumbent will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineering, to ensure seamless system performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system architecture documents, interface control documents, and integration plans.
  • Lead system integration activities, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, software integration, and functional verification.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and DO‑178C.
  • Perform risk assessments, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action implementation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support certification processes with regulatory bodies, preparing technical reports and evidence packages.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the department.
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned and best practices to future projects.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of aerospace system architecture, integration methodologies, and verification techniques.
  • Proficiency in modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, and CAD software.
  • Experience with embedded software integration and real‑time operating systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Effective communication skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Project management competence, including schedule tracking and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of safety and reliability standards applicable to aerospace systems.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) are advantageous and will be considered favorably during the selection process.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in aerospace system integration, preferably on commercial aircraft, unmanned aerial systems, or defense platforms. Demonstrated experience in leading integration projects from concept through to flight testing is essential.

Salary
