Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain PwC’s privacy framework aligned with NDPR, GDPR, and industry best practices.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for client projects and internal initiatives.
- Advise senior management on privacy risks, mitigation strategies, and regulatory changes.
- Lead the creation of privacy policies, procedures, and consent mechanisms.
- Monitor and respond to data subject requests, breaches, and regulatory inquiries.
- Collaborate with legal, IT security, risk, and audit teams to ensure integrated compliance.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on cross‑border data transfers, cloud privacy, and emerging technologies.
- Stay current on global privacy trends and disseminate insights through newsletters and workshops.
Required Skills
- Deep knowledge of NDPR, GDPR, and other relevant privacy regulations.
- Strong analytical and risk‑assessment capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting policies and presenting to executives.
- Proficiency in privacy‑by‑design principles and data mapping tools.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and drive consensus.
- Experience with privacy management software (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc) is a plus.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or professional certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or ISO 27701 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants must have 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience in data privacy, compliance, or information security roles, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment. Demonstrated experience leading privacy programs for large enterprises or government agencies is essential.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of NGN 3,000,000 to NGN 5,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the compensation package.
