Job Overview

This role is part of John Deere’s Digital Agriculture Division, tasked with integrating advanced analytics and IoT solutions into Nigeria’s agricultural value chain. The position is based in Kano, a key agricultural hub in northern Nigeria. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze agricultural data from IoT sensors, drones, and satellite systems to identify crop health trends.
  • Develop digital tools to help farmers monitor soil moisture, pest infestations, and weather patterns.
  • Collaborate with local cooperatives to implement precision farming techniques using John Deere’s FarmSight platform.
  • Train farmers and agronomists on using digital dashboards for real-time decision-making.
  • Partner with Nigerian universities to conduct field trials on AI-powered yield prediction models.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis.
  • Experience with GIS mapping software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).

Education
