Job Overview
The E‑commerce Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end operational processes that ensure seamless order fulfillment, inventory management, and delivery excellence for Jumia’s platform in the North‑West region, with a focus on Katsina. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily order processing, ensuring timely picking, packing, and dispatch across all product categories.
- Manage inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock availability.
- Develop and implement SOPs for warehouse operations, returns handling, and last‑mile delivery.
- Analyze operational metrics such as order cycle time, fulfillment accuracy, and delivery success rates, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead a team of warehouse supervisors, logistics coordinators, and customer service agents, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Collaborate with the technology team to integrate automation tools, warehouse management systems, and data analytics platforms.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and Jumia’s internal policies.
- Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting key achievements and areas for enhancement.
- Partner with the marketing department to align promotional campaigns with inventory capacity and logistics capabilities.
- Drive cost‑optimization strategies, negotiating with third‑party logistics providers and evaluating alternative delivery models.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people‑management abilities with a track record of building effective operational teams.
- Excellent analytical skills, proficient in using data to inform decisions and improve processes.
- In‑depth knowledge of e‑commerce fulfillment, warehouse management, and last‑mile logistics.
- Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS, PMP) are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of 5‑7 years of progressive experience in e‑commerce operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience within a fast‑growing online marketplace or retail environment is highly preferred.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from ₦2,500,000 to ₦4,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and other incentives.
