Job Overview
The Global Procurement Analyst will be responsible for optimizing the sourcing strategy for Nestlé’s raw materials, packaging, and services across the West African region. Reporting to the Regional Procurement Manager, the analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Finance, to ensure cost‑effective, sustainable, and compliant procurement practices. This position plays a pivotal role in driving supplier performance, managing risk, and delivering value‑added solutions that align with Nestlé’s corporate standards and local market dynamics. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key categories, ensuring alignment with corporate cost‑saving targets.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and total cost of ownership assessments.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service levels.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, scorecards, and regular audits to ensure compliance with Nestlé’s quality and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality Assurance to evaluate new materials and innovative packaging solutions.
- Prepare detailed procurement reports, dashboards, and risk assessments for senior management.
- Support the implementation of digital procurement tools and data‑driven decision‑making processes.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, import/export requirements, and ethical sourcing policies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, or similar analytics tools.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of achieving cost reductions.
- In‑depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and contract law.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management across multicultural teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as ESG and Nestlé’s Creating Shared Value (CSV) initiatives.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is considered an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 5‑7 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably within the food & beverage or FMCG industry. Experience managing international supplier bases and exposure to African markets is highly desirable.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from NGN 2,500,000 to NGN 4,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
