Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Laboratory Quality Control Chemist to join our manufacturing facility in Minna. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products.
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated analytical equipment including HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers.
  • Document all testing results accurately in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Investigate Out of Specification (OOS) results and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely release of batches while maintaining quality integrity.
  • Assist in the validation of new analytical methods and testing protocols.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
  • Deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data recording.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot analytical deviations.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting technical findings to cross-functional teams.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline is mandatory. Post-graduate qualifications in analytical chemistry are highly preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a quality control laboratory within the pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing industry is required. Proven experience with chromatography techniques is essential.
