Job Overview
The Midstream Operations Coordinator will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of pipeline transportation, storage facilities, and terminal operations in the Maiduguri region. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the coordinator ensures compliance with regulatory standards, optimizes asset utilization, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable energy flow. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations of pipelines, storage tanks, and loading terminals to ensure uninterrupted product flow.
- Monitor real‑time data from SCADA systems, identify anomalies, and initiate corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain operational schedules, capacity plans, and logistics forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with NNPC regulations, NEMA guidelines, and internal safety standards.
- Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and implement preventive measures.
- Prepare operational performance reports and present insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and commercial teams to optimize asset performance.
- Support the implementation of digital tools for asset monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of midstream oil & gas processes, pipeline integrity, and storage operations.
- Proficiency in SCADA, GIS, and data analytics platforms.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities under pressure.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
- Familiarity with Nigerian oil & gas regulatory environment.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as PMP, OHSAS 18001, or NEBOSH are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in midstream operations, pipeline management, or related roles within the oil & gas industry. Prior exposure to large‑scale infrastructure projects in Nigeria or other emerging markets is preferred.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from NGN 2,500,000 to NGN 3,500,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and allowances aligned with industry standards.
