Position Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will oversee project monitoring activities, strengthen data management systems, support learning initiatives, and ensure accurate reporting of project outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project monitoring frameworks and indicator tracking systems.
- Design and manage data collection tools and reporting templates.
- Conduct routine field monitoring and verification visits.
- Perform data quality assessments and validation exercises.
- Support baseline, midline, and endline project evaluations.
- Conduct impact assessment and outcome measurement activities.
- Analyze project performance data and identify trends.
- Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and donor submissions.

- Maintain project databases and information management systems.
- Support learning reviews and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Educational Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Management, Statistics, Public Policy, Public Health, or related field.
- Professional certification in M&E, Data Analytics, Research Methods, GIS, or Project Management is an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, data management, accountability, or program performance management.
- Experience working with donor-funded development or humanitarian projects preferred.
- Previous experience within NGOs, UN agencies, or international organizations is highly desirable.
