Job Overview
This position focuses on designing, implementing, and managing advanced cybersecurity frameworks for Ericsson’s telecommunications networks in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, enforce security protocols, and ensure compliance with international standards. The role is pivotal in protecting sensitive client data and maintaining uninterrupted service for millions of Nigerian users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain network security policies aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST standards
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on telecom infrastructure
- Monitor real-time network traffic to detect and mitigate cyber threats
- Implement firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols
- Provide technical guidance to IT teams on secure coding practices
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend remediation strategies
Required Skills
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, IBM QRadar) and network analysis software
- Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls and Palo Alto security systems
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and VoIP security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
Experience
3-5 years in network security roles, preferably within telecommunications
Salary
3,500 – 5,000 SSP per month, depending on experience
