Job Overview
Olam Agri is hiring an experienced Plant Manager – Noodles Manufacturing to oversee and lead factory production operations in Lagos. This senior-level role is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in FMCG manufacturing, food processing, industrial production management, plant operations, production planning, manufacturing excellence, quality assurance, factory management, lean manufacturing, and team leadership.
The successful candidate will manage end-to-end factory operations while ensuring production efficiency, operational excellence, quality control, workplace safety, cost management, inventory optimization, machine utilization, and timely product delivery.
This role is critical to achieving organizational goals related to production targets, manufacturing performance, operational sustainability, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Manufacturing Operations
- Lead and manage production teams across multiple product lines and shifts.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved according to operational plans.
- Monitor manufacturing schedules to ensure on-time product delivery.
- Optimize factory workflow and machine utilization to improve productivity.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to improve operational efficiency.
Manufacturing Excellence & Quality Assurance
- Drive manufacturing excellence programs including TPM, TQM, WCM, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ensure products meet required quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
- Minimize waste, product rejection, and production downtime.
- Promote adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Food Technology
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
Additional technical certifications in lean manufacturing, operational excellence, Six Sigma, TPM, or food safety systems will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
Candidates must have:
- 13–18 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and production operations.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing plant teams in the packaged food or FMCG industry.
- Proven expertise in food production management, factory operations, noodles manufacturing, process optimization, production supervision, industrial operations, and machine maintenance.
- Hands-on experience implementing TPM, WCM, TQM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma systems.
