Job Overview

The Sustainability Reporting Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping IBM Nigeria’s ESG disclosures and sustainability strategy. Reporting directly to the ESG Manager, the analyst will collect, analyze, and validate environmental, social, and governance data across the organization, ensuring compliance with international standards such as GRI, SASB, and the UN SDGs. Key Responsibilities

Required Skills

  • In‑depth knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP, UN SDGs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

  • Familiarity with sustainability software platforms (e.g., Enablon, SAP EHS).

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or professional certification in sustainability, ESG, or corporate responsibility (e.g., GRI Certified Training) is highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in sustainability reporting, ESG data analysis, or a comparable role within a multinational corporation or consultancy. Experience in the Nigerian market and familiarity with local regulatory requirements will be considered an advantage.
