Job Overview

This role focuses on designing and implementing integrated urban mobility solutions for Abuja’s expanding population. The ideal candidate will collaborate with municipal authorities, private stakeholders, and community groups to optimize transportation networks, reduce congestion, and enhance accessibility. Key projects include public transit expansion, pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, and AI-powered traffic management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct feasibility studies for urban mobility projects, including road networks and mass transit systems
  • Develop smart mobility strategies using GIS mapping and traffic simulation tools
  • Coordinate with local governments to align projects with national urban development policies
  • Assess environmental impacts of transportation infrastructure and propose mitigation measures
  • Lead stakeholder workshops to gather community input on mobility solutions

Required Skills

  • Expertise in urban mobility planning and transportation engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and transportation modeling software
  • Strong analytical skills for traffic flow and demand forecasting
  • Experience with public-private partnership (PPP) project management
  • Excellent communication for cross-sector collaboration

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science
  • Master’s Degree preferred in Smart Cities or Sustainable Development

Experience

Salary
