Job Overview

The Digital Health Coordinator will play a pivotal role in integrating digital health systems with clinical workflows. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about leveraging technology to transform healthcare delivery in Nigeria. The position is based in Kano, a hub for emerging health tech initiatives in the northern region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Design and manage telemedicine platforms for remote patient monitoring.
  • Train medical staff on digital health tools and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Conduct data analysis to optimize health IT performance and patient engagement.
  • Partner with NGOs to expand digital health literacy in underserved communities.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in health IT systems (e.g., OpenMRS, Epic).
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA-compliant data management.
  • Experience in project management for cross-sector collaborations.
  • Fluency in Hausa or Yoruba preferred for community outreach.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting technical and clinical challenges.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or Public Health.
  • Certification in Digital Health Leadership (optional but advantageous).

Experience

  • 3-5 years in healthcare technology implementation or management.
  • Proven track record in deploying digital solutions in low-resource settings.

Salary

250,000 – 350,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and performance.
