Job Overview

This role involves designing and implementing urban planning solutions that integrate environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop master plans, zoning strategies, and public space designs that align with global sustainability standards. The position emphasizes innovation in addressing urban challenges such as climate resilience, affordable housing, and smart city technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of sustainable urban development projects, including land use planning and infrastructure layouts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for urban projects.
  • Collaborate with local governments and communities to ensure stakeholder engagement and compliance with regulations.
  • Integrate green building principles, renewable energy systems, and water management solutions into urban designs.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation, 3D models, and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD, GIS, and BIM software for urban design and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of LEED, BREEAM, or other sustainability certification frameworks.
  • Experience in urban resilience planning and climate adaptation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian urban development policies and zoning laws.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or Environmental Design.
  • Master’s Degree in Sustainable Design or Urban Ecology preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in urban planning or sustainable design projects.
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale urban development initiatives.

Salary

2,500,000 – 4,000,000 SSP annually, depending on experience and project scope.
