Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural designs for bridges, buildings, and civil works using industry‑standard software such as SAP2000, ETABS, and AutoCAD.
• Perform load calculations, seismic analysis, and wind load assessments in accordance with Nigerian Building Code and relevant international standards.
• Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, and calculation reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams to integrate design solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify design implementation and provide on‑site technical support.
• Participate in value engineering workshops to optimize material usage and reduce project costs while maintaining safety.
• Maintain design documentation and project records in the company’s digital repository.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of Nigerian Building Code, Eurocode, and AISC specifications.

• Effective communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple design packages simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Education

A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university is required. Professional registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is preferred.

Experience
