Job Overview

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented Structural Design Analyst to join WSP’s Benin City team. The candidate will collaborate on large-scale infrastructure projects, including commercial buildings, bridges, and public facilities. The position emphasizes technical precision, adherence to safety standards, and integration of eco-friendly design principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural analysis and design for construction projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and reports for client and regulatory approvals.
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure design feasibility.
  • Evaluate materials and methods to optimize cost, safety, and sustainability.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in structural design software (AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000).
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes and international standards (BS, Eurocodes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for complex engineering challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and basic knowledge of local languages (e.g., Edo) is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CEng, MIE Nigeria) is preferred.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in structural design or related engineering roles.
  • Proven track record in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.

Salary

350,000 – 500,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
