This role involves conducting comprehensive environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for various projects within the oil and gas sector. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed environmental impact assessments for oil and gas projects.
  • Prepare and submit EIAs to regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate environmental considerations into project planning.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics.
  • Provide recommendations for mitigating environmental impacts.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in GIS software and environmental modeling tools.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

A Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or ISO 14001 are advantageous.

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Experience with regulatory compliance and environmental management systems is highly desirable.
