Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in structuring, evaluating, and monitoring the financial performance of Eni’s renewable energy assets in Nigeria. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Project Development, you will be responsible for building detailed financial models, conducting feasibility studies, and supporting the negotiation of project financing agreements with banks, investors, and development agencies. This position offers a unique blend of analytical rigor and strategic insight, allowing you to influence the financial architecture of projects that power communities and drive sustainable growth.
In addition to core financial analysis, you will collaborate closely with the engineering, legal, and commercial teams to ensure that financial assumptions align with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for solar, wind, and hybrid renewable projects.
- Perform detailed cash‑flow analysis, sensitivity testing, and scenario planning to assess project viability.
- Prepare investment memoranda, pitch decks, and financial summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with lenders, equity partners, and multilateral development banks to structure debt and equity financing.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial KPIs throughout construction and operational phases.
- Assist in negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), EPC contracts, and off‑take arrangements.
- Conduct risk assessments, including currency, commodity price, and regulatory risks, and propose mitigation measures.
- Support the preparation of regulatory filings, tax incentives applications, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with the ESG team to integrate sustainability metrics into financial reporting.
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis for senior management and board presentations.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA and complex financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of project finance structures, especially in the renewable energy sector.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, legal, and commercial teams.
- Familiarity with Nigerian energy regulations, tax regimes, and incentive programs.
- Proficiency in financial software such as SAP, Oracle Financials, or similar ERP systems.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical standards.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA, or similar) is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants should possess 3‑5 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, or financial advisory, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors. Experience working with international lenders, multilateral agencies, or large‑scale energy projects in Nigeria or West Africa will be viewed favorably.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a pension scheme aligned with Nigerian regulations.
