Job Overview
The Infrastructure Project Finance Analyst will support the financing, budgeting, and financial monitoring of large‑scale construction projects, including roads, bridges, and industrial facilities. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and external lenders, the analyst ensures financial models are robust, risks are mitigated, and project cash flows remain healthy. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for multi‑million‑dollar construction contracts.
- Prepare financing proposals, loan documentation, and covenant compliance reports for local and international lenders.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align project schedules with cash‑flow requirements.
- Monitor project expenditures, forecast variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of market fluctuations, material cost changes, and regulatory shifts.
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for senior management.
- Liaise with government agencies to ensure compliance with Nigeria’s fiscal regulations and procurement policies.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, VBA, and financial modeling software.
- Strong understanding of project finance structures, debt‑equity ratios, and risk mitigation techniques.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial data to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Nigerian tax law, banking regulations, and public‑private partnership (PPP) frameworks.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or PMP are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in financial analysis and project management.
Experience
Applicants should have 5‑7 years of relevant experience in project finance, infrastructure financing, or corporate finance within the construction, engineering, or energy sectors. Prior exposure to large‑scale EPC contracts and experience working with international financial institutions will be considered a strong advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from ₦3,500,000 to ₦5,000,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances are included to reward outstanding contributions to project success.
