We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Geospatial Cartographer to join our team in Katsina, Nigeria. As a Digital Geospatial Cartographer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed maps of our mining operations, using a range of geospatial technologies and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze geospatial data from a range of sources, including satellite imagery, GPS data, and field observations.
  • Use geospatial software and technologies, such as ArcGIS and QGIS, to create accurate and detailed maps of our mining operations.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including geologists, engineers, and operations staff, to ensure that our maps are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain our geospatial database, ensuring that all data is accurate and easily accessible.
  • Provide training and support to other staff members on the use of geospatial technologies and software.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of geospatial technologies and software, including ArcGIS and QGIS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze large datasets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of mining operations and geology, with the ability to apply this knowledge to create accurate and detailed maps.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science or related field.

Experience

5-7 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of geospatial technologies and software.

Salary

800,000 – 1,200,000 SSP per annum.
