Our geospatial mapping team is responsible for creating accurate and detailed maps of our mining sites, and we are seeking a highly skilled Digital Geospatial Cartographer to join our team.
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Geospatial Cartographer to join our team in Ilorin, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed maps of our mining sites using a range of geospatial technologies, including GIS and remote sensing. The role will involve working closely with our geospatial mapping team to ensure that all maps are accurate and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating accurate and detailed maps of mining sites using GIS and remote sensing technologies
- Working closely with the geospatial mapping team to ensure that all maps are accurate and up-to-date
- Developing and implementing new geospatial technologies to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our mapping processes
- Providing training and support to other team members on the use of geospatial technologies
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of GIS and remote sensing technologies
- Experience with geospatial mapping software, including ArcGIS and QGIS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in geospatial mapping or a related field
Salary: 1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP per annum
