We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Geospatial Cartographer to join our team in Osogbo, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed maps of our mining operations, as well as providing geospatial analysis and support to our teams.
Job Overview
As a Digital Geospatial Cartographer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and detailed maps of our mining operations. You will also provide geospatial analysis and support to our teams, including data visualization, spatial analysis, and mapping.
You will work closely with our geospatial team to develop and implement geospatial solutions that support our business objectives. You will also collaborate with other teams, including operations, engineering, and environmental, to ensure that our geospatial solutions are integrated into our business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate and detailed maps of our mining operations using geospatial software and tools
- Provide geospatial analysis and support to our teams, including data visualization, spatial analysis, and mapping
- Develop and implement geospatial solutions that support our business objectives
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that our geospatial solutions are integrated into our business processes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest geospatial technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our geospatial solutions
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of geospatial software and tools, including ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth
- Experience with data visualization, spatial analysis, and mapping
- Ability to create accurate and detailed maps of mining operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science, Cartography, or related field
Experience
8-12 years of experience in geospatial mapping and analysis, preferably in the mining industry
Salary
N1,200,000 – N1,800,000 per annum
