Job Overview
The Supply Chain Innovation Manager will spearhead the design, implementation, and optimization of cutting‑edge supply chain solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across Unilever Nigeria’s product portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the role focuses on integrating digital technologies, data analytics, and sustainable practices into end‑to‑end logistics, procurement, and inventory management. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, external partners, and technology providers to drive transformative projects that align with Unilever’s purpose‑led growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain innovation roadmap that aligns with corporate sustainability goals.
- Lead pilot projects leveraging IoT, AI‑driven demand forecasting, and blockchain for traceability.
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and distribution teams to redesign processes for greater agility.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, logistics providers, and academic partners.
- Prepare business cases, ROI analyses, and executive presentations to secure investment.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, trade policies, and Unilever’s Code of Business Principles.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel.
- Experience in digital supply chain technologies such as RFID, WMS, TMS, and AI forecasting.
- Project management expertise, preferably PMP or PRINCE2 certified.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across multicultural teams.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and circular economy concepts.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, Six Sigma) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably within the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation projects and delivering measurable cost savings is essential.
Salary
The competitive remuneration package ranges from ₦3,500,000 to ₦5,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, pension contributions, and other employee benefits.
