Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end AgriTech solutions, including IoT deployments, data analytics platforms, AI/ML models, and mobile applications for agricultural use cases.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to meet solution objectives and ensure scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead the technical implementation of AgriTech projects, providing guidance and oversight to development teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, and integration guides.
• Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concept projects for new AgriTech innovations.
• Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Olam Agri’s internal policies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and developers.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale digital solutions, preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Strong understanding of AgriTech concepts, including precision agriculture, remote sensing, farm management systems, and agricultural supply chain optimization.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services relevant to data processing, IoT, and AI/ML.
• Expertise in data architecture, database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), and big data processing frameworks.
• Familiarity with GIS technologies and their application in agriculture.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Education

A Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required. Relevant certifications in cloud architecture or AgriTech solutions are a significant advantage.

Experience

Candidates should possess 7-10 years of progressive experience in solution architecture, with a minimum of 3-5 years specifically focused on AgriTech or related digital agriculture initiatives. Experience in project management and leading technical teams is highly desirable.
