Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Carbon Capture Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize carbon capture technologies for industrial applications. This role is pivotal in supporting Nigeria’s transition to a low-carbon economy while driving technological innovation in the energy sector. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with international teams and contribute to global sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop carbon capture systems tailored to industrial and energy sector needs
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for carbon capture projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate carbon capture solutions into existing infrastructure
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Lead research and development of next-generation carbon capture technologies
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on energy efficiency
- Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus)
- Knowledge of Nigerian environmental regulations and international sustainability standards
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication abilities
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in carbon capture technology or industrial emissions management
- Experience in the energy or manufacturing sector is an advantage
Salary
- 800,000 – 1,200,000 SSP annually, based on experience and performance
