Job Overview
Lead cross-sectoral projects to reduce carbon emissions and achieve climate goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and monitor sustainability initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about Nigeria Jobs and global environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute carbon reduction strategies for urban and rural communities
- Conduct feasibility studies for renewable energy and green infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with local governments, NGOs, and private sector partners
- Monitor project performance using sustainability metrics and reporting frameworks
- Provide technical expertise on carbon footprint analysis and mitigation techniques
Required Skills
- Proven experience in carbon accounting and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) frameworks
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental impact assessment tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual (English and Hausa preferred)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or Urban Planning
- Master’s Degree in Sustainability or Climate Science preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years in environmental project management or carbon neutrality initiatives
- Experience working in Nigerian or African environmental policy contexts
Salary
200,000 – 300,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
