Job Overview
The Industrial Automation Project Manager will lead end‑to‑end delivery of automation projects for manufacturing clients across Nigeria. This role involves planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects while ensuring alignment with client requirements, Siemens standards, and local regulations. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle for industrial automation solutions, from proposal development to final handover.

- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing status updates, issue resolution, and post‑implementation support.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and Siemens quality guidelines.
- Prepare and present project documentation, progress reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and recommending process enhancements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation technologies, including PLC programming, SCADA, HMI, and industrial IoT.
- Proven project management expertise, preferably with PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical and logistical challenges.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to dynamic project conditions.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or advanced certifications in automation or project management are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of five to seven years of hands‑on experience managing industrial automation projects, preferably within the manufacturing sector. Experience working with multinational technology firms or in large‑scale integration projects will be viewed favorably.
Salary
