Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forestry Systems Analyst to join our team in Makurdi, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our conservation efforts, including the development of forest management plans, monitoring and evaluation of forest health, and analysis of forest data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to support forest management and conservation efforts
  • Design and implement forest management plans, including the development of forest inventory and monitoring systems
  • Collect and analyze forest data, including remote sensing and GIS data
  • Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to support forest management and conservation efforts
  • Collaborate with colleagues and partners to develop and implement conservation strategies

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in forest management and conservation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in GIS and remote sensing software, including ArcGIS and ERDAS Imagine
  • Experience with database management and programming languages, including Python and SQL

Education: Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

Experience: 8-12 years of experience in forest management and conservation

Salary: N1,200,000 – N1,800,000 per annum
