Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for digital payment systems.
  • Conduct audits of payment gateway operations to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to draft compliance policies for emerging fintech products.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes in financial technology and advise leadership on strategic adjustments.
  • Train internal teams on compliance protocols and data privacy laws (e.g., NDPR).

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Nigerian financial regulations and fintech compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and regulatory reporting.
  • Proficiency in payment systems (e.g., POS, mobile money, e-wallets).
  • Excellent communication for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) procedures.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, or Information Technology.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CISA, or CFE) are advantageous.

Experience

  • 3-5 years in financial compliance, fintech regulation, or risk management roles.
  • Proven experience in digital payment ecosystems or financial auditing.

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP annually, with performance-based bonuses.
