Job Overview

This role requires a dedicated professional to lead water resource assessment projects, develop sustainable management strategies, and implement climate adaptation solutions. The position involves fieldwork, stakeholder collaboration, and technical reporting to support AquaTech’s mission of ensuring equitable water access for Nigerian communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrological assessments and water quality analysis for project sites
  • Design and implement water conservation strategies for urban and rural areas
  • Coordinate with local governments and communities to identify water infrastructure needs
  • Prepare technical reports and feasibility studies for funding proposals
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of water management interventions
  • Provide training to local stakeholders on sustainable water practices

Required Skills

  • Expertise in GIS mapping and water resource modeling software
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and impact assessment
  • Excellent project management and cross-cultural communication abilities
  • Knowledge of Nigerian water policy and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with climate change adaptation strategies
  • Ability to work in remote field locations with limited resources

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred but not required.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in water resource management, environmental consulting, or related field. Prior experience in Nigeria or other African countries is a significant advantage.

Salary

250,000 – 400,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
