Job Overview

The Construction Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and reporting on cost, schedule and performance metrics for large‑scale cement plant expansions and infrastructure projects. Working within the Project Management Office, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project control plans, including cost baselines, schedule baselines and earned value management systems.
• Collect, analyse and validate project data from field reports, subcontractors and internal systems.
• Produce weekly and monthly performance reports highlighting cost variance, schedule slippage and forecasted outcomes.
• Identify potential risks and propose corrective actions to keep projects aligned with strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with procurement and finance to ensure accurate invoicing and cash flow forecasting.
• Support project managers in change order evaluation and impact analysis.
• Implement best practices in project controls tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project and Power BI.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to communicate project health and performance metrics.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools.
• Strong analytical abilities with a focus on earned value management.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes and local regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualisation platforms.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP or a recognized Project Controls qualification are highly desirable.

Experience

Candidates must have at least five years of hands‑on experience in project controls within the construction, infrastructure or heavy‑industrial sectors. Experience on cement plant projects, large‑scale civil works or industrial facilities will be considered an advantage.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances are also part of the total rewards structure.
