Job Overview

Skanska Nigeria seeks a dynamic Green Building Consultant to lead the design and implementation of sustainable construction projects in Calabar. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct energy audits and sustainability assessments for construction projects.
  • Design and implement green building systems, including solar energy integration and rainwater harvesting.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with LEED and BREEAM standards.
  • Develop cost-benefit analyses for sustainable materials and technologies.
  • Provide training to project teams on eco-friendly construction practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in LEED certification processes and green building software (e.g., BIM, EnergyPlus).
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional team coordination skills.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in local languages (e.g., Efik) is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data and present actionable sustainability recommendations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science.
  • Master’s Degree in Sustainable Design or related field is preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in sustainable construction or energy-efficient design.
  • Previous projects in Nigeria or West Africa are advantageous.

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP annually, with performance-based bonuses.
