Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Sustainable Aquaculture Project Manager to join our team in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our aquaculture projects in Nigeria, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Sustainable Aquaculture Project Manager will work closely with our local and international teams to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices, including the design and implementation of aquaculture systems, water quality management, and fish health management.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in aquaculture, fisheries, or a related field, with at least 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the aquaculture industry. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and international partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainable aquaculture projects in Nigeria, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Work closely with our local and international teams to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices, including the design and implementation of aquaculture systems, water quality management, and fish health management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and international partners to ensure the successful implementation of our aquaculture projects.
  • Monitor and report on the environmental and social impacts of our aquaculture projects, ensuring that they are in line with our sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with our research and development team to identify and implement new technologies and practices that can improve the sustainability of our aquaculture operations.

Required Skills

  • Strong background in aquaculture, fisheries, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the aquaculture industry.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries, or related field.

Experience

At least 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the aquaculture industry.

Salary

N1,200,000 – N1,800,000 per annum.
