Regional Sales Manager (Lagos, Nigeria) | GBfoods Africa

GBfoods Africa is hiring a Regional Sales Manager in Lagos to lead high-impact sales operations, drive FMCG distribution growth, and expand market share across assigned territories in Nigeria’s competitive consumer goods sector.


Job Overview

This role focuses on building and executing regional sales strategy aligned with corporate business objectives. You will oversee retail execution, trade performance, distributor management, and field sales teams to ensure sustainable revenue growth and profitability.

You will also collaborate with logistics, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure product availability, on-time delivery, and strong brand visibility across all retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional sales plans, quotas, and territory management strategies
  • Drive FMCG distribution, retail execution, and channel performance optimization
  • Monitor KPIs including sales volume, revenue growth, and market penetration
  • Conduct competitor analysis and identify new business development opportunities
  • Manage store operations support and evaluate individual and team performance
  • Forecast quarterly and annual revenue and profitability outcomes
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of sales teams
  • Coordinate with logistics for inventory planning and order fulfillment
  • Strengthen customer relationship management with key accounts and distributors
  • Conduct business reviews and reporting for senior leadership
  • Ensure effective trade marketing execution and promotional compliance

Education Requirements

  • HND / BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage

Experience Required

  • Minimum 8+ years progressive sales experience in FMCG or related sector
  • Proven experience in regional or area sales management
  • Strong track record of achieving revenue and sales targets
  • Experience in team leadership, distributor management, and retail operations
